Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

PromptCanary ("we", "us", "our") is a synthetic monitoring service for AI endpoints. Our registered contact email is hello@promptcanary.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, including:

• Account data — email address and password hash when you register.
• Monitor configuration — endpoint URLs, request payloads, and assertions you define.
• Billing data — processed by Stripe. We store only the Stripe customer ID; we never see raw card numbers.
• Usage data — monitor run results, timestamps, and alert history.

We also collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, referrer) through our hosting provider (Vercel).

3. How we use your information

• To operate the monitoring service and deliver alerts.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To respond to support requests.
• To send transactional emails (alert notifications, billing receipts). We do not send marketing email without consent.
• To diagnose errors and improve the product.

4. Third-party services

We use the following sub-processors:

• Vercel — hosting and serverless compute (US regions).
• Stripe — payment processing.
• AWS / Supabase — database and object storage.
• Resend / SendGrid — transactional email delivery.

Each provider has its own data processing agreement and privacy policy.

5. Data retention

We retain monitor run history according to your plan (7 days on Free, 90 days on Pro, 365 days on Team). Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. On account deletion we remove personal data within 30 days, except where required by law or for fraud prevention.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Email us at hello@promptcanary.com and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use a single session cookie for authentication. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Vercel Analytics uses privacy-preserving, cookie-free measurement.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users at least 14 days in advance.
